The meeting was held at the Best Western in South Hill, Virginia.

Correction to the September 17, 2000. Page two, paragraph twelve. Each federation member is required to sell or buy 1 book (15 tickets) of tickets @$2.00 per ticket. Members must turn in $25.00 for the complete book. At the drawing the 1st ticket drawn is for the truck, 2nd ticket is for $500.00 to a federation member. Drawing goes until first federation member ticket is drawn. The above wording should not have been included in the motion made by Region 1.

Motion by S. Robinson, seconded by C. Beale with the correction, that the minutes of the September 17, 2000 board meeting be approved. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Motion by C. Beale, seconded by A. Vaughan that the treasurer's report be approved. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Motion by C. Beale, seconded by A. Vaughan that the Boat Raffle account be approved Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

The Chapter Team format will remain as is.

All regions sent a twenty man team to the Fall Classic.

A letter has been sent to the Smith Mountain Lake Association for sponsorship of the 2001 Fall Classic.

The 2001 Mr. Bass will be held at Buggs Island Lake and Region 6 will be the hosting region.

Only forty seven boats participated in the Children's Miracle Network Charity Classic on the Chickahominy River. The auction raised $705.00 and $2,250.00 was donated to the Children's Miracle Network. A total of $9,900.00 was raised from the four tournaments.

Motion by Region 3, seconded by Region 5 that the Federation not get involved with the Eagle 97/St. Jude's Tournament. Due to the fact that the tournament was not a total fund raiser for St. Jude. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Motion by Region 2, seconded by Region 3 to change the date of the Children's Miracle Network on Smith Mountain Lake from October 6, 2000 to October 7, 2000. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Motion to have a truck raffle in lieu of a boat raffle.

Motion by Region 7, seconded by Region 9 to purchase a Ranger boat for the 2002 Boat Raffle from Bill's Marine.

Motion passed.

Motion by Region 3, seconded by Region 5 to accept nomination of Roger Fitchett as President.

Charlie Beale was elected Vice President.

A tournament rule request change was tabled until the January board meeting.

Peter Herbst is the new Webmaster for the Virginia B.A.S.S. Federation.

Motion by Region 3, seconded by Region 2 to purchases 200 T-shirts at the cost of $6.25 per shirt. Amendment was made by Region 9 to also purchase 200 sweatshirts. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Abby Ryan has gracefully taken on the project of collecting newspaper articles, letters, ads and pictures of youth, charity and conservation for a scrapbook to submit to B.A.S.S. for awards.

John Britton gave a list of Casting Kids requirements.

If any directors are having a Casting Kids event you have to order your kits through your Youth Coordinator.

Motion by Region 5, seconded by Region 1 that the Secretary/Treasurer purchase Quick Books Pro. Motion carried by unanimous voice vote.

Wyndham Bassmasters and Craddock Creek Bassmasters were accepted as new clubs in Region 4.

Eligibility list of clubs is due at the January board meeting.

By-laws changes are due at the January board meeting and voted on at the March meeting.

Letter of verification for new directors are due at the January board meeting.

Motion by C. Beale, seconded by S. Woodroof to adjourn the meeting.
