Roger Fitchett is President of the Virginia
B.A.S.S. Federation, and has been since 1994. He was born in Morgantown,
West Virginia. His parents moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1952. After getting
married in 1967, he and his wife moved to Virginia Beach. Roger retired from
the interior decorating business in 1992.
His Dad introduced him to bass fishing at age seven. He has been a member of B.A.S.S. since 1972. In 1979, he joined a federated club, Blackwater Bassmasters, in Lynchburg, VA. to fish with a friend that he grew up with. In 1985 he joined Virginia Beach Bassmasters, and later joined his current club, Coastal Bassmasters. Roger is also the B.A.S.S.
